Q1. Do you mean that everyone in UBF should repent in dictatorlike leadership etc?
Ans 1: The dictatorship and manipulative hierarchy is starting from Directors. If the Directors refuse to change & repent, it is no use for the rest UBFers to repent because even though they repent, they can do nothing.

Q2. So everyone who still in UBF is guilty in those practices?
Ans 2: UBF Directors and leaders should feel guilty in those practices (dictatorship and manipulative). I think everyone who still in UBF may use the above checklist to evaluate himself/herself. If they find themselves having these practices, it’s a good starting for them to feel guilty for those practices. Feeling guilty drives them to voice out their contradiction problems to the leaders, the cults concerning groups and the public, so that they can get help eventually.

Q3. So there is no other ways to communicate with anyone in UBF without calling them to repent?
Ans 3: I wrote many many letters to communicate with the Directors who in-charge of establishing this hierarchy, but they refused to communicate with me for solving the dictatorship and manipulative problems. So I would say: there are no proper ways to communicate with UBF Directors for dealing with dictatorship and manipulative issues, so they are called to repent.

Conclusion: UBF Director(s) should face their own dictatorship and manipulative problems, rather than shirking their responsibility to “EVERYONE” who still in UBF. As a leader, these are extremely irresponsible behaviors. “EVERYONE” who still in UBF does not need to be as a shield and excuse for the leaders.

Here’s a better idea. If you’re so committed to dealing with conflicts and problems that arise in UBF, why don’t you personally contact the leaders in UBF and ask them persistently to address the issues you see on this site. Instead of asking people to funnel their issues to that email, so it will go there instead of a public domain.

Also stop trying to demean the posters here. You say that we’re expressing ourselves for psychological cathartic reasons, and that we’re “angrily blogging”. No John Yoon, we’re trying to address very serious issues that we’ve had to deal with in our lives – and are trying to help change.

If you really want to make others feel better, you should share your testimony of how you or the directors use hierarchy to manipulate the others and repent. And write clearly the prayer topics on how UBF Directors should repent. Anyway, I have mercy on you and I will continuous to pray for you so that you can see cunning, lying, manupulating, hiddening the facts, claiming to be others’ parents are filled in UBF Utopia and they are really sins against God.

My point exactly, Chris! For me, I’ve been through these issues numerous times, every 3 or 4 years since I first attended UBF in 1987. All kinds of reform and change, subtle and bold, have been attempted. At one point I even defended UBF ideology “absolutely” :)

Still, UBF idealogy remains the same, and advancing the UBF heritage remains the “prime directive”, in place of God’s prime directive to advance the gospel and be built into a living community as part of His kingdom.

What is different this time? We are different. I believe we are in a unique position on this blog to connect the dots of publicly available information, connecting people around the world until our voice is heard and causes action.

Since as of 2012 there still is no “back door” in UBF ideology to leave UBF freely, we all need to face the fact that the entire back wall may collapse.
